Summer Events

One of our volunteers selling cards at a recent event

Every year ASSIST attends a range of events and markets but this year you’ll see us in a couple of places we haven’t been to before and a few more familiar locations! Please do come and find us and tell friends and family to as well.

Festival of Debate  1st June 1-6pm, Millennium Galleries
We’ll be in the Millenium galleries on as part of a large Festival of Debate Hub day. Come and learn more about what we do and buy some of our cards designed by clients!

Migration Matters Festival - 22nd June 3pm, Theatre Deli
There are so many things happening as part of the programme this year and a donation from every ticket sale online comes to ASSIST and South Yorkshire Refugee Law and Justice so please do support them. Check out the Migration Matters website.
We’re hosting a warm and welcoming music and poetry open mic session for anyone to perform at. We’re on the lookout for musicians, poets, storytellers or anyone with a performance! Please get in touch if you would like to be involved lyndsey.mclellan@assistsheffield.org.uk

Firth Park Festival - 23rd June
We’re going to be running a family friendly crafty stall at Firth Park festival. Several of our houses are located in Firth Park and the surrounding area. We are hoping to connect with the local community so people have a better understanding of who we are, what we do and why we have to support destitute asylum seekers.

Stannington Carnival - 13th July
This is an area of the city we haven’t been to recently and we look forward to meeting you there!

And while you have your diary out – Save the Date! Our AGM will be on 23rd October – more details to follow.
