Open Kitchen Social Club are delivering!

Here's some news from our friends at Open Kitchen Social Club...

"The last few weeks have been very hectic as we have worked to identify need and capacity in our sector across the city. To reflect current circumstances we have shifted our social cafe model to a delivery system, and are delivering food parcels of cooked meals, fresh fruit and veg (courtesy of Beanies Wholefoods), and dried/tinned goods (thanks to the Foodhall Project) to our community and those in need all over Sheffield. We are doing this every Monday, and this week, for example, delivered meals, food parcels and easter eggs to over 40 individuals and 10 families, 80 people in total, including residents of 9 ASSIST houses.

"At the moment we are at capacity, not because of volunteer power or delivery capability, but, like many other services, because of shortage and unreliability of food supply. We would love to hear from any grocers or supermarkets who might be able to help us out. Other than that, our financial support is precarious at this time, so if you are interested in making a regular or one-off donation, please email friendsofopenkitchen@gmail.com.
