ASSIST Sheffield are recruiting new Trustees!
Role Title: Trustee
Responsible to: Co-Chairs of Trustees
ASSIST is an organisation with a deep passion for social justice and a 22-year history of working alongside people seeking asylum. We are a highly committed and resourceful organisation, delivering a range of services with over 130 strong volunteer workforce, 16 Trustees, and a small staff team. Our vision is of a world where everyone has a safe home, community, and the freedom to thrive. If you share our values and mission, then this could be the role for you!
The role of our Trustees is to support the charity to grow, to provide governance and oversight so we can continue to provide our essential services, and to make sure we stay true to our strategy and values. This is a purposeful opportunity for people who want to work collaboratively to shape and strengthen the future work and direction of ASSIST.
We're specifically seeking expressions of interest from people who have knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
- Safeguarding and serious incident management
- Management of housing portfolios
- Finances and/or accounting
