I'm the Volunteer and Community Outreach Coordinator and started at ASSIST in November 2023. In my role I recruit, support, and advocate for our wonderful volunteers, organise trainings and socials, and work towards creating a vibrant volunteer community. I am also responsible for outreach to increase awareness of our work, make our volunteer roles more accessible, empower people and communities to resist the hostile environment, and better understand the role ASSIST can play in nurturing solidarity.
My background is in migrant justice and LGBTQ+ community organising, event organising, and adult community learning. In my spare time you can find me on the dancefloor or singing karaoke, and I also organise the QTBIPOC (Queer Trans Intersex Black and People of Colour) Cinema Club at Gut Level.
