Leon's story

I arrived in the UK in 2008. Two years after I first applied for asylum I got an initial refusal...I was destitute.

Thank You to the Homeowners Who Open Doors to People Seeking Asylum

Across Sheffield, a small but vital group of homeowners has chosen to stand alongside people seeking sanctuary. By providing long-term housing, they ensure people who have been refused asylum have a warm, dignified place to stay and are not forced to sleep on the streets.

A Year in Review: Thank You for Standing With ASSIST Sheffield
