VVIDY: Voice of Voiceless Immigration Detainees Yorkshire

Voice of Voiceless Immigration Detainees – Yorkshire (VVIDY) is a Sheffield based campaign, advocacy and solidarity movement, opposed and working against the abhorrent policies of the Hostile Environment.

Who they are:
  • A group of campaigners and organisers from different parts of the world and walks of life, with the majority of us having direct Lived Experience of the Immigration Hostile Environment.
  • Challenge the physical and psychological warfare migrants are subjected to, especially those experiencing detention.
What they do:
  • Campaign for and stand in solidarity with those affected by the Hostile Environment.
  • Specifically, though not exclusively, they challenge Immigration Reporting and Detention.
  • Campaign for the abolition of immigration detention and take action that raises theirs and others’ voices – a Voice of the Voiceless.
