The autumn season of TalkingGigs in aid of ASSIST kicks off in October.
Here are some words from the organiser about the first gig...
"Once again I'm delighted to say that we are right on trend with our first gig of the Autumn: Songlines cover star and performing at WOMAD, Dobet Gnahore from Cote d'Ivoire. She already has a hugely impressive back catalogue ... have a listen to Issa from her 2010 album Na Afriki ... but Miziki, her first album in 4 years, has generated a great deal of excitement with traditional African mixed with electronic samples.
"And also delighted to say that we will have Andy Morgan (author, journalist, photographer and ex-manager of Tinariwen) back in the interviewer's chair."
